Custom Cigar Boxes

A cigar box is a different object from every other piece of tobacco packaging. It is often kept. It is sometimes displayed. It is always associated with the occasion, the brand, and the quality of what was inside it. iBOX Factory makes custom cigar boxes with the weight, the finish, and the structural quality that a premium tobacco brand or a luxury gift occasion demands. Rigid construction, humidity-aware interior options, foil stamped exteriors, and an opening experience that communicates occasion before the first cigar is lifted. From 100 units with free US shipping.

Description

Rigid Construction That Protects and Presents in Equal Measure

A cigar is a fragile thing. The wrapper leaf cracks under pressure, dries out in low humidity, and absorbs odours from poorly chosen interior materials. A cigar box needs walls strong enough to protect the cigars through retail handling, gifting, and transit while using interior materials that do not interfere with the cigar’s character. We use rigid board grades with density appropriate for the cigar box application and line interiors with materials chosen for their neutral quality and their ability to support a stable environment inside the closed box.

The Lid Opens the Way a Luxury Object Should Open

The opening action of a cigar box is a ceremony for anyone who smokes premium cigars. A hinged lid that swings open cleanly and holds its position without falling. A lift-off lid that reveals the interior in a single deliberate motion. A magnetic closure on a rigid outer that pulls apart with a smooth resistance that communicates quality in a single touch. We produce all three opening styles and help brands choose the one that creates the right first moment for the product and the occasion the box is associated with.

Humidity-Aware Interior Options for Cigar Preservation

Cigars held in poorly lined boxes dry out and lose their character. An interior material that off-gasses or introduces foreign odors affects the cigar before it is lit. We use interior lining options selected for their neutral quality and their ability to maintain a stable environment inside a sealed cigar box. For brands supplying premium cigars in retail or gift settings, the interior quality is as important as the exterior print. We recommend interior materials based on the expected storage duration and the retail context.

Foil Stamping That Communicates the Brand’s Premium Position

Gold foil on a dark matte cigar box exterior is one of the most enduring visual languages of premium tobacco. We produce cigar boxes with gold, silver, rose gold, copper, and custom metallic foil stamping on brand marks, names, edition labels, and decorative borders. The foil catches light differently depending on the exterior finish beneath it. On a soft-touch surface, it creates a warm metallic contrast. On a gloss surface, it delivers a high-contrast statement, while on a Kraft surface, it communicates artisan craft and natural luxury. The combination is a brand decision and we have experience across all of them.

Shape Options From Classic Flat Trays to Deep Gift Boxes

Cigar boxes come in a range of shapes suited to different cigar counts and different brand aesthetics. A flat, wide tray format holds five or ten cigars in a row and is the classic presentation for a cigar gift. A deeper format with a velvet-lined tray holds each cigar in its own depression and communicates premium individual presentation. A tall rectangular format suits a single cigar or a small set in a gift-oriented outer box. A sliding drawer format reveals the cigars in a horizontal arrangement that creates a distinctive reveal experience. We produce all of these and help brands identify the shape that matches the product count and the gifting occasion.

Interior Trays, Cigar Bands, and Presentation Details

The interior of a cigar box communicates the brand’s attention to detail as clearly as the exterior print does. A fitted interior tray that holds each cigar at exactly the right spacing communicates a brand that has thought through the full product presentation. A branded interior lid panel adds a second brand touchpoint when the box is opened. A velvet or satin lining gives the interior a luxury quality that communicates premium gifting. Cigar band compatible spacing allows the brand label on each cigar to face outward when the box opens. We incorporate all of these interior details into cigar box specifications for brands that want the inside to match the outside.

Artwork Preparation Guide

Cut Line (Black Line)

Indicates the cut at its final size. Important artwork and text should be placed at least 0.125 inches inside of the cut line.

Perforation (Dotted Black Lines)

Perforation line refers to paper that is punched with very small holes to allow the paper to be torn and folded easily.

Bleed Line (Red Lines)

Indicates where the bleed line is located. Any artwork which goes to the cut line should be extended to the bleed line to get a seamless print.

Crease Line (Green Lines)

Indicates where the product is to be folded.

Safety Margin (Dotted Green Lines)

Indicates where artwork and text should safely be placed inside. As an industry standard, all artwork should at least be placed 0.125 inches away from the cut line unless your design is intentional.
