Custom Cigarette Boxes

The cigarette box is one of the oldest brand objects in the world and it still does something no other piece of packaging quite manages. It is held, opened, closed, carried, and looked at dozens of times a day by the person who buys it. iBOX Factory makes custom cigarette boxes that make that repeated contact work for the brand. Rigid board, clean print, a flip lid that opens with exactly the right resistance, and a box that keeps the cigarettes fresh through heat, humidity, and a full day in someone’s pocket. From 100 units with free US shipping.

Description

The Flip Top Lid Is More Than a Closure, It Is a Brand Moment

Every time someone opens a cigarette box the lid tells them something about the brand. A lid that opens too easily communicates a cheap box. One that requires two hands communicates poor design. The right flip top opens with a single thumb, offers a clean snap at the fully open position, and closes with a satisfying return. We engineer the crease, the hinge line, and the board weight together so the opening action is consistent across every box in the run. Brands that have worked with us on flip top cigarette boxes consistently note the opening feel as one of the first things their customers comment on.

Board Weight and Structure That Protects Against Moisture and Crush

A cigarette is a delicate product. Humidity softens the tobacco. A crushed pack destroys the filter. A box that flexes under pocket pressure communicates a brand that has not invested in the basics. We use board grades selected for the moisture resistance and structural rigidity that a cigarette box needs through a full day of real-world use. The interior keeps its shape. The lid keeps its position. The cigarettes stay dry. Your brand stays intact. The material choice is one of the first conversations we have on every cigarette box brief because it determines everything else.

Shape and Style, From Classic Hard Pack to Slim and Contemporary

The shape of a cigarette box is one of the most immediate style signals a tobacco brand sends. A classic square hard pack communicates heritage and authority. A slimmer profile with a tapered lid communicates a modern and lifestyle-oriented brand. A slightly oversized box with a deeper front panel communicates premium positioning. We produce cigarette boxes across the full range of shapes and proportions. You tell us the visual identity the brand is building and we recommend the shape that communicates it most effectively. We also produce custom dimensions for brands that want a box no one else is using.

Print That Carries the Brand the Way a Luxury Object Carries Its Maker

A cigarette box with weak print or a color system that does not match the brand’s visual identity communicates a brand that does not take its own product seriously. We print cigarette boxes in full CMYK with Pantone matching so the brand colors are exact on every run. Matte lamination gives a velvety, tactile quality that suits premium and heritage brand aesthetics. Gloss lamination gives vivid color and a high-contrast appearance that suits bold, contemporary brands. Soft touch coating creates a luxury surface impression that makes a box feel significantly more expensive than its production cost. Spot UV on a logo or a pattern element catches the light and gives the box a premium visual detail.

Foil Stamping and Embossing for Brands That Want to Be Remembered

Gold foil stamping on a matte black cigarette box is one of the most recognizable luxury tobacco brand signatures in the world. We produce foil stamped cigarette boxes in gold, silver, rose gold, copper, and custom metallic colors. Embossing raises the brand mark or a pattern element off the surface of the board for a physical brand quality that is impossible to replicate digitally. Debossing creates the inverse impression. Both communicate a brand that has invested in the box as an object, not just as a container. If the brand wants to be associated with luxury, the box needs to communicate luxury before the first cigarette is lit.

Moisture Resistance and Freshness Through the Right Material Choices

A cigarette pack that arrives damp, that softens through a humid day, or that loses its shape under bag pressure communicates a brand failure at the most basic level. We apply moisture-resistant coatings and use board stocks with the right density for the cigarette box application. The coating is invisible but its effect on the box’s performance through a day of real-world use is significant. We have supplied cigarette packaging for markets with high ambient humidity and for brands whose product is kept in bags and pockets through long shifts and active days. The box holds up because the material decisions are right.

FAQs

What board weight works best for a cigarette box that holds its shape in a pocket?

We recommend board weights based on the box dimensions and the use environment. For standard pocket carry, we use a grade that resists flex and moisture without adding unnecessary weight. We advise the right option when you share the dimensions and the primary use context.

Can the flip lid opening resistance be adjusted?

Yes. The crease depth, the board weight, and the hinge line position all influence the flip lid action. We tune these together during sample production so the opening feel matches the brand’s intention.

What is the minimum order for custom cigarette boxes?

100 units per specification. Request your quote today.

Can a cigarette box use soft touch coating and foil stamping together?

Yes. Soft touch with foil stamping is one of our most popular combinations for premium tobacco brand packaging.

Artwork Preparation Guide

Cut Line (Black Line)

Indicates the cut at its final size. Important artwork and text should be placed at least 0.125 inches inside of the cut line.

Perforation (Dotted Black Lines)

Perforation line refers to paper that is punched with very small holes to allow the paper to be torn and folded easily.

Bleed Line (Red Lines)

Indicates where the bleed line is located. Any artwork which goes to the cut line should be extended to the bleed line to get a seamless print.

Crease Line (Green Lines)

Indicates where the product is to be folded.

Safety Margin (Dotted Green Lines)

Indicates where artwork and text should safely be placed inside. As an industry standard, all artwork should at least be placed 0.125 inches away from the cut line unless your design is intentional.
