We Offer Earring Box Formats for Every Style and Size

Earring styles vary enormously and each needs a different box size and interior layout. A compact square box suits small stud earrings. A slightly wider format suits medium hoops and drop earrings. A larger flat format suits oversized hoops and statement chandelier styles. A multi-pair format suits gift sets and retail variety packs. We size every earring box from the actual earring dimensions and design the interior to hold each pair in a centred, symmetrical position that shows both pieces equally well when the box is opened.

Interior Options That Align and Display the Pair

The inside of an earring box needs to hold both pieces in exactly the right positions relative to each other. A foam insert with two stud holes holds studs upright at matching heights. A velvet cushion with a crease between the two pieces holds drop earrings hanging parallel. A backing card with two pin holes presents studs in a flat card format that is both a retail display and a gift presentation. A padded insert with two shaped depressions holds irregular earring shapes in position. We offer all of these and recommend the right interior based on the specific earring format.

Choose Between Card, Hinged Box, and Rigid Gift Formats

Earring packaging serves several different selling and gifting contexts. A backing card format is practical and cost-effective for retail peg display and high-volume ecommerce brands. A hinged box that opens to reveal the pair is a classic gift format that works at every price point from affordable fashion to fine jewelry. A magnetic closure rigid box communicates luxury and is suited to premium earring brands and high-value gift occasions. A flat two-piece box suits contemporary brands that prefer a clean, minimal opening experience. We help you choose the format that matches the brand and the buyer.

Soft Linings That Complement the Earring Style

A velvet-lined earring box in black, white, blush, or a brand colour gives every pair a rich and luxurious backdrop. A satin insert gives a lighter, more delicate feel suited to fine jewelry and bridal earrings. A foam insert with shaped depressions holds each earring in a precise position that communicates quality control. Anti-tarnish paper lining is available for silver and gold earring brands. We offer all interior lining options in a range of colours and help you choose the combination that makes your earrings look their best.

Seasonal Gifting and Multi-Pair Set Formats

Earring gift sets with two or three complementary pairs need a box that presents each pair in its own section in a coordinated arrangement. A multi-pair earring gift set box with a branded exterior and a velvet-lined interior with individual sections for each pair communicates a considered and generous gift. Seasonal gift set formats for Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and Mother’s Day can be produced on the same box structure with occasion-specific artwork from 100 units. Custom Bridal Jewelry Set Boxes is available for brands that include earrings as part of a full bridal jewelry presentation.

Retail Peg Display and Ecommerce Formats

Earring brands selling through retail need a format that works on peg hooks and counter displays. A backing card with a hang hole turns the packaging into a self-displaying retail unit. A compact box with a hang tab gives more product protection while still working on a peg display. For ecommerce, a compact well-sealed box protects the earrings through postal delivery and opens to a quality unboxing moment at home. We build earring boxes for the primary channel and help you identify the format that works best.

Artwork Preparation Guide

Cut Line (Black Line)

Indicates the cut at its final size. Important artwork and text should be placed at least 0.125 inches inside of the cut line.

Perforation (Dotted Black Lines)

Perforation line refers to paper that is punched with very small holes to allow the paper to be torn and folded easily.

Bleed Line (Red Lines)

Indicates where the bleed line is located. Any artwork which goes to the cut line should be extended to the bleed line to get a seamless print.

Crease Line (Green Lines)

Indicates where the product is to be folded.

Safety Margin (Dotted Green Lines)

Indicates where artwork and text should safely be placed inside. As an industry standard, all artwork should at least be placed 0.125 inches away from the cut line unless your design is intentional.
