Two completely different products share the name. One is a dispenser carton of disposable gloves that gets wall mounted in a clinic, a kitchen or a workshop. The other is a retail box holding a pair of leather, wool or work gloves. They are sized by different methods, so establish which one you are buying before anything else.
Case one: the dispenser carton
Here the gloves are folded, interleaved and compressed, and the box exists to hold that stack and release one glove at a time. Method:
- Fold and interleave the actual count you intend to pack. Disposable exam gloves are commonly supplied one hundred to a box, with lower counts in larger sizes and thicker gauges, so pack the real count rather than a sample.
- Compress the stack as the filling line would, then measure it. Compressed, not relaxed, is the number that matters here.
- Add a small clearance so the stack does not bind against the walls, which would stop the dispensing action.
- Design the aperture last. It has to release one glove without dragging out three, and its size depends on glove gauge as much as on the box.
The bracket matters more than most buyers expect. If the carton is going into a wall mounted dispenser, that bracket's internal opening is a hard external constraint on your box. Measure it, or get the published opening from the bracket supplier, before the dieline is drawn.
Case two: the retail glove box
For leather, driving, ski or work gloves the method is the one used for flat apparel:
- Lay one glove flat in the presentation position, fingers extended, and measure the rectangle it occupies.
- Decide whether the pair lies side by side, overlapped, or one on top of the other. This is the single biggest driver of footprint.
- Add tissue thickness, doubled, if the pair is wrapped.
- Measure depth at the thickest point, which is normally the cuff or a padded knuckle, not the palm.

Ordering
State the result as internal length x width x depth and mark it internal on the quote. Minimum order is 100 boxes, and pricing runs from about $0.48 per unit at bulk volumes, confirmed on your written quote. Die and plates, design support, US shipping and a digital proof before anything prints are included, so a carton drawn to your own stack height costs no more to tool than a near-standard one. Three lanes are quoted per product: rush with expedited production and air freight, standard by air, and cost saver by sea, from about 7 business days, plus 2 to 5 for delivery. Specialty imported items can run up to about 12 weeks. Production is in West Chicago and Guangzhou.
To order the finished box, see custom gloves boxes, and for the case pack around it, corrugated boxes. Send your glove count per box, the compressed stack measurement and the bracket opening if there is one to request a quote.
