Nobody can hand you a monitor box size chart, because the number printed on the monitor box is a diagonal measurement of the panel and the carton has to hold a bezel, a stand, a power brick and protective end caps. The useful answer is a conversion and a method. Here is both.
Turning a screen size into real numbers
Screen sizes are diagonals. For a 16:9 panel, simple geometry gives you the rest: width is about 0.87 of the diagonal and height is about 0.49 of the diagonal. For a 16:10 panel it is about 0.85 and about 0.53. That is arithmetic you can check, not a size chart.
| Stated diagonal | Approximate 16:9 active width | Approximate 16:9 active height |
|---|---|---|
| 24 in | about 20.9 in | about 11.8 in |
| 27 in | about 23.5 in | about 13.2 in |
| 32 in | about 27.9 in | about 15.7 in |
Those are panel figures. Your actual product is wider and taller by the bezel, and deeper by the panel housing. Measure the finished unit rather than trusting the model number.
What else is in the box
Depth is where monitor cartons go wrong. Decide early whether the stand ships attached, nested behind the panel, or in a separate compartment, because each choice produces a different depth and a different insert. Then account for the arm, the base plate, the power supply, cables and the printed material. Run through it as a list before you set a dimension:
- Panel with bezel, measured assembled at its widest and tallest
- Stand arm and base, measured in the orientation they will actually ship in
- End caps or foam, which add to every axis they touch, not just one
- Accessory tray or a flat compartment for cables and documentation
- Clearance so the pack closes without compressing the protection
Board and build
A monitor carton is a large flat panel carrying a fragile, relatively heavy load, which is why double wall is the common answer rather than single wall. BC double wall sits near 9/32 in (about 7 mm) caliper as an industry-typical figure. You add one caliper at each wall, so the external carton runs roughly two calipers larger than your internal cavity on length and width. Say clearly on the quote whether the dimensions you supplied are internal or external. If the product will also sit on a retail shelf, check the footprint against the shelf depth you are actually selling into before you finalise.
Ordering
Minimum order is 100 boxes. Price starts from about $0.48 per unit at bulk volumes and is confirmed on your written quote, since a large double wall carton with printed graphics prices differently from a plain brown one. The cutting die, the plates, design support, US shipping and a digital proof are included. Production runs from West Chicago in the US and Guangzhou in China, in three lanes: rush (expedited production plus air freight, a premium of about 7 to 25% depending on the job), standard (air), and cost saver (sea). The floor is from about 7 business days, plus 2 to 5 for delivery, and specialty imported items can run up to about 12 weeks.

Send your assembled measurements and the stand configuration through the quote form and ask for a single wall and a double wall version priced together.
