We Offer Backing Card, Compact Box, and Collector Formats

Lapel pins are sold in several different formats and the right packaging depends on the selling context. A backing card with a die-cut pin hole presents the pin in a clear, retail-ready format that is familiar to buyers and works on peg hook displays. A compact tuck end box with a foam insert gives more protection and a more premium feel for gift-positioned pins. A small rigid box with a velvet or foam base suits limited edition collector releases and corporate award pins. We offer all three approaches and help you choose the right format for the pin’s purpose.

Backing Card Design That Makes the Pin Stand Out

A backing card is often the primary packaging format for retail enamel pins and the design of the card communicates the brand, the pin’s story, and any collection identity. The front of the card carries the brand logo and the pin’s name or series. The back carries any additional collection details, social handles, or care instructions. We print backing cards in full CMYK with vivid brand systems and illustration styles that match the pin artwork. A window or die-cut pin hole allows the pin to be seen from the front. Standard and custom card sizes are available.

Collector and Limited Edition Pin Packaging

Collector pin brands and limited edition releases benefit from a packaging format that communicates the exclusive nature of the product. A numbered edition panel, a small rigid box with a foam insert, and a premium finish communicate that this is a collectible worth keeping in its packaging. We make limited edition lapel pin boxes with foil stamping, embossing, and high-quality board that give collector releases the presentation quality serious pin collectors expect. The box becomes part of the collectible.

Corporate Event and Award Pin Formats

Corporate lapel pins for conferences, award ceremonies, and brand events need packaging that communicates the professionalism and prestige of the occasion. A branded gift box with the company logo, an event name, and a premium finish makes the pin feel like a considered award rather than a generic giveaway. We make corporate pin boxes for events of any scale from 100 units with full colour company brand print and any event-specific messaging. A velvet insert holds the pin impressively and communicates the significance of the award.

Retail Display Options for Enamel Pin Brands

Enamel pin brands selling through gift shops, museum stores, and independent retailers benefit from a retail display format that works on both peg hooks and flat counter displays. A hang tab on the backing card or the box turns the product into a peg display unit. A counter display tray holding multiple pin cards or boxes creates a browsable display. We make retail-ready lapel pin packaging in the right format for the primary selling environment. Custom Tie Pin Boxes and Custom Brooch Boxes are available alongside lapel pin packaging for brands with a full formal accessory range.

Artwork Preparation Guide

Cut Line (Black Line)

Indicates the cut at its final size. Important artwork and text should be placed at least 0.125 inches inside of the cut line.

Perforation (Dotted Black Lines)

Perforation line refers to paper that is punched with very small holes to allow the paper to be torn and folded easily.

Bleed Line (Red Lines)

Indicates where the bleed line is located. Any artwork which goes to the cut line should be extended to the bleed line to get a seamless print.

Crease Line (Green Lines)

Indicates where the product is to be folded.

Safety Margin (Dotted Green Lines)

Indicates where artwork and text should safely be placed inside. As an industry standard, all artwork should at least be placed 0.125 inches away from the cut line unless your design is intentional.
