Custom Lighter Boxes

A lighter is one of the most impulse-purchased products in a smoke shop and the box it sits in at a counter display is the thing that makes a buyer reach for one brand over another in a split second. iBOX Factory makes custom lighter boxes that carry the brand identity boldly on a compact surface, hold the lighter securely without unnecessary void space, and present beautifully in counter displays and peg hook arrangements where lighters are most often sold. From 100 units with free US shipping.

Description

The Box Should Fit the Lighter the Way a Good Case Fits Its Object

A lighter in a box with excess space rattles. A lighter in a too-tight box is difficult to remove without damaging the packaging. We build lighter boxes from the actual lighter dimensions so the product sits in the box correctly, is easy to remove on first use, and does not move during transit or counter display handling. The inner clearance, the box height relative to the lighter height, and the direction of extraction are all decisions made at the specification stage. When the box opens, the lighter is where it should be and the brand is presented exactly as intended.

Bold Brand Print on a Surface That Has To Work From Counter Distance

At a smoke shop counter a lighter box is competing with every other product in the display tray from a distance of roughly an arm’s length. The brand mark needs to be read at that distance. The color system needs to create visual separation from adjacent products. The product identity needs to communicate in under a second. We plan lighter box front panel designs with this counter display reality in mind. Large, readable typography. Brand colors that hold their own in a mixed display environment. A print quality that communicates a brand worth buying.

Compact Shape Options That Work With Every Display Setup

Standard pocket lighters have a well-established dimensional range and lighter boxes are typically compact rectangular forms sized to that range. Within that basic shape there is still meaningful variation. A slightly taller box with a full front panel print gives more design surface area. A compact flat form sits low in a counter tray and is less likely to tip. A box with a front window shows the lighter design before opening, which is a useful feature for lighters with distinctive color or pattern designs. We produce lighter boxes in the shape that works best for the specific lighter model and the primary display context.

Matte, Gloss, and Spot UV Finishes That Suit a Compact Brand Object

The finish on a lighter box communicates the brand’s position in the market as clearly as the print does. A matte laminated lighter box with a bold typographic design communicates a premium lifestyle brand. A gloss lighter box with vivid color photography communicates an energetic consumer brand. A soft touch lighter box with a restrained design communicates a luxury accessory product. Spot UV on a brand mark adds a light-catching detail that makes the box stand out in a mixed display. We produce all of these finish options on lighter boxes and guide the choice based on the brand’s target market.

Counter Display Tray and Peg Hook Options

We design lighter boxes for counter display trays and peg hooks to maximize visibility. We create flat-base boxes with front panels that face outward, helping products stand out on retail shelves. A box designed for peg display has a hang tab at the top that carries the peg hole without disrupting the print area. We produce both configurations and many brands use both for different retail environments from the same box brief with minor structural adjustments between them.

Promotional Lighter Packaging for Brand Campaigns

Branded promotional lighters in custom boxes are one of the most effective tobacco accessories for a brand building exercise. A custom lighter in a well-printed box with a campaign message, an event date, or a limited edition identity communicates a brand that invests in its presence. We produce promotional lighter boxes from 100 units with full color print and any campaign-specific identity. From a simple logo and date to a full brand campaign on a premium soft-touch surface, we produce a wide range of designs. Furthermore, we deliver these options even on lightweight boxes that exceed buyer expectations.

Artwork Preparation Guide

Cut Line (Black Line)

Indicates the cut at its final size. Important artwork and text should be placed at least 0.125 inches inside of the cut line.

Perforation (Dotted Black Lines)

Perforation line refers to paper that is punched with very small holes to allow the paper to be torn and folded easily.

Bleed Line (Red Lines)

Indicates where the bleed line is located. Any artwork which goes to the cut line should be extended to the bleed line to get a seamless print.

Crease Line (Green Lines)

Indicates where the product is to be folded.

Safety Margin (Dotted Green Lines)

Indicates where artwork and text should safely be placed inside. As an industry standard, all artwork should at least be placed 0.125 inches away from the cut line unless your design is intentional.
