Custom Printed Paper Bags

Print quality is what separates a branded bag from a generic one. The difference between a bag that communicates a premium brand and one that looks like it came from a generic supplier is almost always in the print. iBOX Factory produces custom printed paper bags with the color accuracy, sharpness, and consistency your brand deserves.

Description

CMYK and PMS Color Printing for Brand Accuracy

CMYK printing delivers full color reproduction across photographs, illustrations, gradients, and complex design work. PMS spot color printing delivers exact brand color matching for designs where specific brand colors need to reproduce identically across every unit. For brands with strict brand color standards, PMS matching is the most reliable way to ensure your primary brand colors are exactly right on every bag. At iBOX Factory both CMYK and PMS printing are available on all paper bag formats and materials.

Print Quality Across All Paper Bag Materials

Print quality on paper bags varies significantly depending on the material surface. White art paper gives the most accurate and vivid color reproduction. Natural kraft requires color calibration to account for the warm background tone. Recycled and unbleached papers have surface variations that affect print consistency. We optimize the print specification for each material so the finished bag delivers the best possible result on the specific paper surface. For brands printing the same design on multiple bag materials, we advise on any design adjustments that improve color consistency across different surfaces.

Print Coverage and Design Options

Custom printed paper bags can carry full surface print coverage across all exterior panels or more focused brand communication on specific panels. Full surface printing creates a bold brand impact and communicates a brand that invests in its packaging. Panel printing with a brand mark and key message on the primary display panel and clean paper on the remaining panels communicates a more restrained brand aesthetic. Both approaches are available at iBOX Factory and the right choice depends on the brand’s visual identity and the context in which the bag will be used.

Finishes That Enhance Printed Paper Bag Quality

The finish applied over the print surface determines the final quality of the bag’s appearance. Matte lamination protects the print and gives a sophisticated surface quality. Gloss lamination adds vibrancy and makes colors pop in retail lighting and photography. Soft touch coating adds a tactile premium quality. Spot UV applied over specific print elements creates a glossy contrast that draws attention to key brand details. Foil stamping over the print adds a metallic luxury detail. These finish options work best when planned as part of the overall design brief rather than added as afterthoughts.

Inside Printing for Additional Brand Communication

We offer inside printing on all paper bag formats to extend your brand experience. Add a repeat pattern, brand message, or product highlight to the interior for greater perceived value with minimal additional cost.

Consistent Print Quality Across Large Order Runs

For wholesale and high-volume paper bag orders, consistent print quality across every unit in the run is essential for maintaining brand integrity. Color drift across a large print run means some bags communicate a slightly different brand than others. At iBOX Factory we apply strict color management standards across every production run so the last bag off the press is identical to the first in color and print quality.

Print Specifications and Artwork Requirements

Getting print right starts with the right artwork file. We accept high-resolution PDF, AI, and EPS artwork files and advise on the bleed, safe zone, and color profile specifications needed for the best print result on each paper bag material. Our free design support service includes an artwork review before every production run to catch any issues that would affect the final print quality before production begins.

Artwork Preparation Guide

Cut Line (Black Line)

Indicates the cut at its final size. Important artwork and text should be placed at least 0.125 inches inside of the cut line.

Perforation (Dotted Black Lines)

Perforation line refers to paper that is punched with very small holes to allow the paper to be torn and folded easily.

Bleed Line (Red Lines)

Indicates where the bleed line is located. Any artwork which goes to the cut line should be extended to the bleed line to get a seamless print.

Crease Line (Green Lines)

Indicates where the product is to be folded.

Safety Margin (Dotted Green Lines)

Indicates where artwork and text should safely be placed inside. As an industry standard, all artwork should at least be placed 0.125 inches away from the cut line unless your design is intentional.
