To be direct about it: iBox Factory does not have a plant, a warehouse or an office in California. Plenty of packaging sites imply a local presence they do not have. We produce in West Chicago and in Guangzhou, our head office is in Casa Grande, Arizona, and we ship to California with free US shipping included.
What shipping to California involves
| Element | Detail |
|---|---|
| Production | West Chicago (US) or Guangzhou (China), stated on your quote |
| Production window | From about 7 business days |
| Delivery window | 2 to 5 for delivery after production |
| Freight lanes | Rush (expedited production plus air), standard (air), cost saver (sea) |
| US shipping cost | Included |
| Minimum order | 100 boxes |
If your job runs at Guangzhou, sea freight into a West Coast port is the lane that lands cheapest, and California destinations are well served by it. If the date is tight, the rush lane pairs expedited production with air freight at a premium of about 7 to 25% depending on the job.
Practical notes for California receivers
- Give us the receiving reality. A residential studio, a self storage unit and a 3PL with an appointment system are three different deliveries. Tell us which at quote stage.
- Check the dock, not the door. If a pallet cannot be broken down on site, say so, because that changes how the order should be packed.
- Plan around your own peak. Order stock ahead of your busy season rather than into it, and use cost saver for the baseline volume.
Which plant runs the job, and why it matters
The construction decides the plant more often than the destination does. Straightforward corrugated and folding carton work, and anything on a tight date, tends to suit the West Chicago plant. Wrapped rigid builds, heavily finished boxes and large planned volumes tend to suit Guangzhou with sea freight. Neither is a default, and the quote states which one your job runs at rather than leaving you to guess.
For a California buyer the practical difference is the lane, not the address. A sea shipment into a West Coast port is the cheapest way to land a large order. An expedited job travels by air whichever plant makes it. Either way the shipping cost inside the United States is included, and the delivery window after production is 2 to 5.
Labelling obligations are yours
California maintains its own requirements that touch packaging, including Proposition 65 warning rules and state law governing when recyclability symbols and claims may be used. Those obligations rest with you as the brand owner. We will lay out the artwork you supply, leave the panel space those marks need, and produce exactly what you approve on the digital proof. iBox Factory does not certify that any pack meets a state or federal requirement.
What comes with a California order
Die and printing plates, dieline design support, free US shipping and a digital proof before anything prints. Pricing starts from about $0.48 per unit at bulk volumes, confirmed on your written quote, and the minimum is 100 boxes. There is no sample kit to buy; samples are arranged through the quote conversation.
