Custom Airless Bottles

Custom Airless Bottles protect valuable formulations that require more than a standard pump. The active ingredients in anti-aging serums and vitamin C treatments can oxidize, degrade, or lose potency when exposed to air. Airless technology keeps every drop protected until the moment customers apply the product.

Description

How Airless Technology Protects Active Ingredients

A standard pump bottle draws product up through a dip tube and dispenses it by creating a partial vacuum above the product. Each time the pump is actuated, a small amount of air enters the bottle to equalize the pressure. Over time, this air exposure oxidizes oxygen-sensitive activities, degrades UV-sensitive compounds, and contaminates preservative-free formulations with environmental microbes. An airless bottle eliminates air entry entirely. A bottom-up piston plate rises as the product is dispensed, maintaining a sealed, air-free environment around the formulation from the first use to the last.

Near-Complete Product Evacuation

Standard pump bottles often leave a significant volume of product at the bottom of the bottle that the dip tube cannot reach. For premium skincare products at a high price per milliliter, the product left behind at the end of a bottle is a genuine value perception issue for buyers. Airless bottles use a rising piston plate that follows the product all the way to the top of the chamber, evacuating close to 100% of the product and giving buyers the full value of what they paid for. This near-complete evacuation is a concrete benefit that premium skincare buyers notice and appreciate.

Premium Cosmetic Finishes for High-End Brand Positioning

Custom airless bottles are available in a range of premium cosmetic finishes that communicate the luxury positioning of the brands that typically use them. Matte white or black with matching actuator, frosted with metallic trim, and fully custom color options allow each brand to create an airless bottle that communicates their specific aesthetic from the counter and in product photography. The clean, architectural form of an airless bottle is inherently premium and the right finish elevates that further.

Formulations Best Suited to Airless Packaging

Active skincare products with vitamin C, retinol and niacinamide work with special airless packaging. This is because these ingredients can get damaged when they meet air. Products without preservatives also need packaging. They can get contaminated with germs when exposed to air. Natural skincare brands use airless packaging too. They do not use synthetic preservatives. So they need packaging to keep their products fresh for a longer time. These products have a shelf life. Airless packaging helps to keep them effective, for a period. The airless packaging protects them from air and germs.

Pump Output and Dosing Precision

Airless bottle pump mechanisms come in sizes. You can get them in output volumes of 0.15ml 0.25ml and 0.5ml per actuation. This means that brands can choose the dose that’s just right for their product. For a serum you do not need a lot. So a 0.15ml or 0.25ml output is good. This way you get the right amount with each actuation.. For a moisturizer you need a bit more. So a 0.5ml output is better. Airless bottle pump mechanisms help brands get the dose right. When the dose is right buyers use the product correctly. They get the results they want. This makes them happy. They keep using the product. Airless bottle pump mechanisms are important for this reason. They help build loyalty with buyers.

Capacity Range for Every Product Format

Custom airless bottles are available in standard capacities of 15ml, 30ml, 50ml, and 100ml, covering the full range of premium serum, treatment, and moisturizer formats. Smaller formats for concentrated serums and eye treatments. Standard 30ml and 50ml formats for premium face creams and treatment serums. Larger 100ml formats for body treatments and premium moisturizers used more generously.

Label and Branding Surface Options

The smooth, clean wall of an airless bottle accepts pressure-sensitive labels precisely and consistently. The architectural simplicity of the airless format means the label surface is the primary brand communication canvas and the quality of the print and label finish needs to match the quality of the bottle. We provide label dimensions for every airless bottle format and advise on label finishes that complement the bottle’s own surface quality.

Artwork Preparation Guide

Cut Line (Black Line)

Indicates the cut at its final size. Important artwork and text should be placed at least 0.125 inches inside of the cut line.

Perforation (Dotted Black Lines)

Perforation line refers to paper that is punched with very small holes to allow the paper to be torn and folded easily.

Bleed Line (Red Lines)

Indicates where the bleed line is located. Any artwork which goes to the cut line should be extended to the bleed line to get a seamless print.

Crease Line (Green Lines)

Indicates where the product is to be folded.

Safety Margin (Dotted Green Lines)

Indicates where artwork and text should safely be placed inside. As an industry standard, all artwork should at least be placed 0.125 inches away from the cut line unless your design is intentional.
