Description

Choose Materials for Coffee Protection

Coffee packaging needs to help protect the contents during storage and handling. To achieve this, you can select suitable barrier materials and layered structures based on the coffee product and expected storage conditions. As a result, the appropriate structure can help limit exposure to moisture, oxygen, and light.

Add a One-Way Coffee Valve

Freshly roasted coffee can release gases after roasting. A one-way valve can be added to suitable coffee bags to allow gases to escape while helping limit outside air from entering the package. This option is commonly considered for freshly roasted whole bean and ground coffee products.

Add a Resealable Zipper

A resealable zipper allows customers to open the bag, take out the required amount of coffee, and close it again for later use. This can be useful for household coffee products that are consumed over several brewing sessions. The zipper can be incorporated into suitable bag formats without changing the main printed design.

Add Roast, Origin, and Tasting Notes

Coffee bags offer ample room for essential product information. You may add the coffee’s name, roast profile, origin, flavor notes, processing technique, weight, brewing tips, company details, barcode, and additional important information. Distinct blends or roast levels can incorporate varying colors and designs while preserving the overall packaging aesthetic.

Add a Window for Product Visibility

A window can give customers a view of the coffee inside the bag where the selected structure allows it. This can be useful for products where the appearance of the beans supports the buying decision. Window placement can be planned around the main branding and printed information so both the product and packaging remain easy to view.

One Bag Range, Multiple Coffee Varieties

Customized coffee bags are perfect for whole beans, ground coffee, specialty blends, single-origin items, flavored coffee, sample collections, and private label options. Various sizes and types of bags are available for every product line. This enables brands to uphold uniform packaging while providing unique product details and designs for each coffee variety.

Design Packaging for Unique Coffee

Specialty coffee brands frequently require space to provide details regarding origin, farm, processing techniques, roast profile, flavor notes, and brewing methods. Custom printing allows you to emphasize these details effectively without needing extra labels. Distinct designs can be generated for various sources, seasonal lines, or exclusive coffee releases.

Utilize Coffee Bags for Subscription Purchases

Coffee subscription services may utilize personalized bags for regular monthly or weekly deliveries. The package may feature roasting details, brewing suggestions, subscription information, and brand communication. Various coffee options can utilize cohesive designs to ensure each delivery stays linked to the same brand.

Select Printing and Finishing

CMYK printing can create intricate illustrations, photos, gradients, and vibrant artwork on appropriate bag materials. Pantone printing is helpful when exact brand colors require tighter consistency. Additionally, you can evaluate finishes such as matte, gloss, soft-touch, foil, and other options based on the material and design.

Artwork Preparation Guide

Cut Line (Black Line)

Indicates the cut at its final size. Important artwork and text should be placed at least 0.125 inches inside of the cut line.

Perforation (Dotted Black Lines)

Perforation line refers to paper that is punched with very small holes to allow the paper to be torn and folded easily.

Bleed Line (Red Lines)

Indicates where the bleed line is located. Any artwork which goes to the cut line should be extended to the bleed line to get a seamless print.

Crease Line (Green Lines)

Indicates where the product is to be folded.

Safety Margin (Dotted Green Lines)

Indicates where artwork and text should safely be placed inside. As an industry standard, all artwork should at least be placed 0.125 inches away from the cut line unless your design is intentional.
