Vented bags offer an effective packaging solution for coffee that allows gases to escape post-roasting. Their unidirectional valves enable gases to exit the package while assisting in stopping outside air from re-entering. iBOX Factory produces personalized bags for whole beans, ground coffee, specialty blends, sample packs, and retail coffee items.

Description

Combine the Valve With Suitable Barrier Layers

The valve works alongside the rest of the packaging construction. Suitable barrier materials can be selected according to the coffee product and storage requirements. The final package can combine the outer print layer, inner barrier, valve, closure, and seal.

Add a Resealable Zipper

A zipper closure can make the bag easier for customers to reopen and close. This is especially useful for retail coffee that customers consume over several brewing sessions rather than immediately after opening.

Print the Coffee Story

Vented bags can communicate roast level, origin, processing method, tasting notes, brewing recommendations, weight, and brand information. Different roast profiles can use separate artwork or color systems.

Create Specialty Coffee Packaging

Vented bags are useful for independent roasters, specialty coffee companies, cafes, subscription services, and retail brands. Custom dimensions allow the package to correspond with the quantity of coffee being sold.

Choose the Bag Format

You can produce vented coffee bags in different structures based on the desired shelf presentation and capacity. You can consider stand-up, gusseted, flat-bottom, and other suitable formats.

Maintain Brand Consistency Across Products

Keep a uniform coffee bag design across your product line, but change the artwork for each blend or roasting variant. Individual designs can highlight flavor characteristics, origins, roast levels, or seasonal selections while preserving the general packaging format. This creates a unified range while enabling each coffee to preserve its unique identity.

Artwork Preparation Guide

Cut Line (Black Line)

Indicates the cut at its final size. Important artwork and text should be placed at least 0.125 inches inside of the cut line.

Perforation (Dotted Black Lines)

Perforation line refers to paper that is punched with very small holes to allow the paper to be torn and folded easily.

Bleed Line (Red Lines)

Indicates where the bleed line is located. Any artwork which goes to the cut line should be extended to the bleed line to get a seamless print.

Crease Line (Green Lines)

Indicates where the product is to be folded.

Safety Margin (Dotted Green Lines)

Indicates where artwork and text should safely be placed inside. As an industry standard, all artwork should at least be placed 0.125 inches away from the cut line unless your design is intentional.
