Custom Flat Pouches

Custom flat pouches help brands package products efficiently, while tamper evidence remains an important consumer trust signal across many industries. Furthermore, a flat shrink band that grips securely around a bottle neck or closure shows buyers the product has remained unopened since leaving the production line. As a result, it provides reassurance that is worth investing in.

Description

How Flat Shrink Band Pouches Work

Flat shrink bands create a secure seal around the cap and neck of bottles or jars. Once heat is applied, they fit tightly in place and clearly show if a package has been opened, helping protect products and build customer confidence.

Material Options: PVC, PET, and Polyolefin

Flat shrink bands are available in PVC, PET, and polyolefin film materials, each with different performance characteristics suited to different applications. PVC is the most widely used material for cost-effective tamper-evident bands across standard cosmetic, beverage, and food applications. PET delivers higher clarity and a stronger, more premium finish with better chemical resistance for pharmaceutical and specialty personal care applications. Polyolefin is the premium flexible option with the highest clarity, the smoothest shrink performance, and the best environmental credentials among the three material options.

Clear and Black Color Options

Clear shrink bands allow the container closure and the label content below the band to be fully visible, communicating tamper evidence without obscuring any branding or label information. Black shrink bands add a premium visual element to the closure area that communicates a deliberate brand decision and creates a strong visual contrast against lighter bottle colors and labels. The color choice is both a security and brand communication decision and we advise on the option that best serves each product’s specific retail context.

Perforation for Clean Consumer Access

We offer flat shrink bands with or without perforation lines. Non-perforated bands provide maximum tamper protection because consumers must cut or tear them to open the package. Alternatively, single vertical perforation bands allow quick and clean removal. We recommend the right option based on your product’s regulatory requirements and the balance between security and consumer convenience.

Size Options for Standard Closure Diameters

We produce custom flat shrink bands for standard bottle and jar closures, including 38 mm to 53 mm cap sizes. In addition, we offer custom sizes for non-standard closures. We match every band to the exact neck diameter and closure height. As a result, each band shrinks smoothly and delivers a clean, tight, and professional finish.

Applications Across Cosmetics, Beverages, and Pharmaceuticals

We produce flat shrink bands for cosmetic bottles and jars, beverage bottles, pharmaceutical containers, food packaging, and personal care products. They provide clear tamper evidence, support product safety, meet retail and regulatory requirements, and help build consumer confidence at the point of purchase and during unboxing.

Artwork Preparation Guide

Cut Line (Black Line)

Indicates the cut at its final size. Important artwork and text should be placed at least 0.125 inches inside of the cut line.

Perforation (Dotted Black Lines)

Perforation line refers to paper that is punched with very small holes to allow the paper to be torn and folded easily.

Bleed Line (Red Lines)

Indicates where the bleed line is located. Any artwork which goes to the cut line should be extended to the bleed line to get a seamless print.

Crease Line (Green Lines)

Indicates where the product is to be folded.

Safety Margin (Dotted Green Lines)

Indicates where artwork and text should safely be placed inside. As an industry standard, all artwork should at least be placed 0.125 inches away from the cut line unless your design is intentional.
