Custom Metal Boxes

A metal lid changes everything about how a box feels. It closes with a satisfying weight, it sits with permanence, and it communicates to whoever is holding it that the contents are worth that kind of container. For brands whose packaging is part of the gift, the experience, and the story, a metal box is the format that delivers all three.

Description

The Cardboard Tube With Metal Lid Format

The cardboard tube box with a metal lid is one of the most distinctive packaging formats in premium gifting, cosmetics, and specialty retail. The cylindrical tube body is strong, lightweight, and fully printable across its entire curved surface, providing a large and visually impactful brand communication canvas. The metal lid closes with a precision fit and a satisfying tactile quality that communicates premium construction immediately. Together, the combination of a beautifully printed tube body and a solid metal closure creates a packaging experience that communicates the value of the contents before they are revealed.

Full Brand Customization on the Tube Body

The cylindrical body of a metal-lidded tube box accepts full-wrap printing across its entire exterior surface, which gives brands a genuinely large and continuous brand communication canvas. Photography, illustration, typography, and pattern work all wrap around the tube in a format that is impossible to ignore from any angle the box is picked up or displayed. For premium cosmetic, gifting, and specialty retail brands whose packaging needs to communicate the brand as powerfully as the product, the full-wrap tube body is one of the most commercially effective branding surfaces in premium packaging.

Applications Across Gifting, Cosmetics, and Apparel

Custom metal-lidded tube boxes are a great choice for gifts, cosmetics, apparel, and specialty products. Their stylish design creates a premium look and a memorable unboxing experience. The strong tube construction and metal lid help products feel more valuable while giving brands a professional presentation.

Eco-Friendly Construction With Premium Appearance

Cardboard tube boxes with metal lids combine a premium look with recyclable materials. This packaging format helps brands create a high-end presentation while supporting sustainability goals, making it a popular choice for gifts, cosmetics, apparel, and premium retail products.

Metal Lid Quality and Fit Precision

The metal lid of a tube box needs to fit with a precision that communicates quality at the closure moment. A lid that wobbles, sits unevenly, or requires force to open or close communicates poor manufacturing quality that undermines the premium positioning the format is meant to create. We produce metal lids with the dimensional precision and surface quality that delivers a clean, firm fit and a satisfying closure action that communicates the care that went into the packaging as a whole.

Size and Shape Options for Every Product Format

Metal-lidded tube boxes are available in a range of diameters and heights suited to every product format from compact single-product cosmetic packaging through to large gift sets containing multiple items. Custom dimensions are available for brands whose specific product or gifting format requires a size not covered by standard options. We advise on the dimensions that best serve each product’s presentation requirements.

Corporate Gifting and Seasonal Collection Applications

Metal-lidded tube boxes are a popular format for corporate gifting programs, seasonal collections, and limited edition product launches where the packaging is as much a communication of brand values as the product itself. A beautifully designed tube with a metal lid communicates a company or brand that takes the gifting moment seriously and has invested in making it memorable.

Artwork Preparation Guide

Cut Line (Black Line)

Indicates the cut at its final size. Important artwork and text should be placed at least 0.125 inches inside of the cut line.

Perforation (Dotted Black Lines)

Perforation line refers to paper that is punched with very small holes to allow the paper to be torn and folded easily.

Bleed Line (Red Lines)

Indicates where the bleed line is located. Any artwork which goes to the cut line should be extended to the bleed line to get a seamless print.

Crease Line (Green Lines)

Indicates where the product is to be folded.

Safety Margin (Dotted Green Lines)

Indicates where artwork and text should safely be placed inside. As an industry standard, all artwork should at least be placed 0.125 inches away from the cut line unless your design is intentional.
