Custom Plastic Tubs

Custom Plastic Tubs are the ideal packaging format for products that require easy access and reliable resealing. Body butters that customers scoop by hand, thick hair masks applied in generous portions, and bulk food products that need convenient storage all benefit from the tub format. A well-specified custom tub carries the product securely while communicating the brand with confidence.

Description

Wide-Mouth Access for Scooping, Spreading, and Application

The defining feature of a tub is its wide-mouth opening. It is what makes a tub the right container for products that are scooped with a spoon, applied by hand, portioned by cup, or accessed in quantities larger than what a jar neck can accommodate in a single reach. Body butters applied palm-first. Hair masks applied in sections. Pet food portioned by the scoop. Thick skincare treatments applied by spatula. Bulk food products accessed by ladle or measuring cup. The wide mouth is not just a convenience feature. It is what makes the format appropriate for these products in the first place.

Lid Formats for Every Closure Requirement

Plastic tubs are available with snap-on lids that open and close with a single press, screw-on lids that provide a more secure seal for products with longer between-use intervals, and tamper-evident band options for products where a visible unopened seal is a purchase confidence requirement. The choice of lid format depends on the product’s viscosity, the frequency of use, and the distribution channel. A daily-use body butter benefits from a snap lid that opens quickly and one-handed. A specialty food product distributed through retail benefits from a tamper-evident screw lid that communicates an unbroken seal to the first buyer.

Food-Safe Materials for Edible and Topical Applications

iBOX Factory produces plastic tubs for food and consumer products using FDA-compliant, BPA-free, food-safe resins suitable for direct product contact. For foods such as dips, spreads, sauces, nut butters, and dry goods, these materials meet essential safety requirements. Additionally, personal care products like body butters and hair masks benefit from the same safe material standards, helping brands communicate product quality and reliability.

Body Care and Hair Care Applications

Body butters, thick moisturizers, hair masks, deep conditioning treatments, styling pomades, and exfoliating scrubs are all natural fits for the plastic tub format. The wide mouth allows hand and spatula application cleanly, the lid seals the product effectively between uses, and the generous label surface communicates the brand and the ingredient story to buyers who interact with the container in their daily personal care routine. A body care tub that sits on a bathroom shelf and looks beautiful communicates a brand worth staying loyal to.

Sports Nutrition and Pet Food Applications

Bulk protein powders, mass gainers, and sports recovery products use tub packaging because the wide mouth allows fast filling, while the secure lid supports repeated use. The format also communicates value for customers who consume the product daily. Additionally, pet food brands use tubs for wet foods, treats, and supplement toppers because the resealable design fits regular feeding routines.

Industrial and Commercial Tub Applications

Industrial products including lubricants, thick chemical compounds, commercial food ingredients, and bulk specialty materials all use tub formats where the wide-mouth access and durable construction of a plastic tub provide a practical, reliable primary container. Heavy-duty wall thickness specifications and chemically resistant material grades are available for industrial tub applications where the product demands more from the container than a standard consumer-grade specification.

Label Surface and Brand Customization

Plastic tubs have a smooth, broad cylindrical side wall and a flat lid surface, both of which are available as label and print surfaces. The side wall label communicates the brand at shelf and in the home. A printed or labeled lid communicates the brand at the moment of opening, which for a daily-use product is one of the most frequent brand impressions in the buyer’s routine. We provide label dimensions for both surfaces with every tub order.

Artwork Preparation Guide

Cut Line (Black Line)

Indicates the cut at its final size. Important artwork and text should be placed at least 0.125 inches inside of the cut line.

Perforation (Dotted Black Lines)

Perforation line refers to paper that is punched with very small holes to allow the paper to be torn and folded easily.

Bleed Line (Red Lines)

Indicates where the bleed line is located. Any artwork which goes to the cut line should be extended to the bleed line to get a seamless print.

Crease Line (Green Lines)

Indicates where the product is to be folded.

Safety Margin (Dotted Green Lines)

Indicates where artwork and text should safely be placed inside. As an industry standard, all artwork should at least be placed 0.125 inches away from the cut line unless your design is intentional.
